Tickets are purchased on the day and are not pre-booked (apart from Santa Specials which are pre-booking only). The railway has a ticket office located on Platform 1 at Rudyard Station and we encourage all visitors to purchase tickets by card from this ticket office. The Ticket Office will open for ticket sales approx 15mins before the next train's departure (unfortunately we cannot offer advanced sales).

You can also board the train at The Dam and Hunthouse Wood and buy tickets from the guard - these tickets are cash only due to poor mobile reception.

The cafe is accessible from the car park over the footbridge or over the level crossing at the end of the station. We keep the platform closed between trains to give departing passengers plenty of space to leave the train.

Trains will run hourly on the hour on most running days, but during busy periods subject to staff availability we will run 2 trains.
