We would like to confirm our revised arrangements for our reopening.
We are moving to card only sales, no cash. Tickets are available from the new ticket office at Rudyard Station and not on the train. We will be offering a return journey to Hunthouse Wood only, with no stop-offs en-route. Should you wish to alight at The Dam we will stop for dropping off only on the return journey, if you break your journey you will have to walk back to Rudyard. Carriages will be cleaned down on return to Rudyard Station prior to boarding of new passengers. The carriages have been modified to create two segregated compartments per carriage - these can seat up to 6 to allow for families and bubbles - no mixing please within a compartment. If you get off at Hunthouse Wood whilst the engine runs around, please return in the same compartment on the same train.
Trains will run hourly on the hour on most running days, but during busy periods trains will depart as soon as full (approx every 45mins) so we can meet demand.
The station and footbridge are now one-way, with entry via the ticket office and exit at the far side of the station (car park side) or over the footbridge. Please queue in the car park maintaining social distancing between groups and wait to be called forward to make a ticket purchase. Stewards and signs will be in key places to explain everything.
Platform 2 Cafe will be open for takeaway on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Please observe our one-way system for access to the Cafe takeaway table.
The toilets will remain closed.
